Map browser info
The most direct way to use the map browser is simply to drag and zoom the map to the area you're interested in.
The right hand column lists all the places in the visible area of the map with an entry in Beerengine. Each has a coresponding marker on the map. When there are too many entries to list you will see a list of towns containing entries and if even this is too much the list will show provinces or countries. Clicking on links here wiil take you out of the map browser to the page for the entry or location.
Search
Two searches in one!
As you type Beerengine is searched for names that match your input. Links in the results list will recenter the map on the clicked location. Double click to leave the map page for the entry or location's own page
Hit return (or click on the search button) to send your search to the Google geocoding service. This can take addresses, place names, postcodes, map references etc.,
Location
This will record your current position and display it on maps throughout the site if you are within the area being shown.
